Topia’s Tropical Ceviche Recipe

What’s better than scoring the wave of the day? Returning to fresh ceviche at Topia Retreat. Nothing beats the clean protein content of fish ceviche, for muscle repair and energy for another surf session! For those who don’t eat fish, don’t worry, we have a delicious vegan variation that will tempt your taste buds and leave you satisfied. Pair these recipes with your favorite scoop, such as tortilla chips, cucumber slices, tostadas, or simply by the spoonful. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg mild white fish. We love to use Jurel or Dorado. 
  • 15 limes 
  • 1 cup finely sliced red onion
  • 2 cups of 3 bell peppers (1 of each color)
  • 2 cups cucumber, remove peel and seeds, chopped in small squares.
  • 2 cups mango Pulp is small squares
  • ½ cup finely chopped parsley
  • 10 leaves finely chopped mint leaves
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of black Pepper

Procedure:

  • Cut the fish into small squares and put in a bowl
  • Squeeze the 15 limes to make 2 cups, make sure to take away the seeds, add salt, black  pepper and onion and mix with the fish.
  • Put it in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes, to cook while you cut the rest of the veggies.
  • Take out the lime juice where the fish was cooked and throw it away.
  • Mix the rest of the ingredients with the already cooked fish.
  • Marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Vegan Ceviche (Portion for 7 people)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup jicama chopped in small squares
  • 2 cups cucumber without peel and seeds, chopped in small squares.
  • 2 cups of 3 bell peppers (1 of each color)
  • 1 cup finely sliced red onion
  • 2 cups mango Pulp is small squares
  • ½ cup fInely chopped parsley
  • 3 pinch of salt
  • 3 pinch of black Pepper
  • 15 limes

Procedure:

  • Chop all the veggies into small square pieces and mix them all. 
  • Squeeze the limes to make 2 cups of lime juice, make sure to take away the seeds and add it to the vegetables.
  • Add salt & pepper.
  • Refrigerate for 40 minutes and enjoy!
