Responsible Traveler Packing Tips:

Topia Retreat does our best to be a plastic free zone, we are committed to keeping plastic off our property and out of landfills. We want to ask you to help us by not bringing any single use plastics with you. We do not sell or offer any single use plastic on the property. Guests are asked to bring reusable water bottles, and we also provide guests with reusable water bottles for the filtered water throughout the property.

We are very aware of the impact unintentional waste management can have and intend to make disposal a part of the Topia experience in order to educate our guests. We want you to pack with intention. If you have new items you are bringing with you on your trip please leave the tags and any packaging at home (where you can hopefully re/upcycle it.) We like to use and celebrate locally made craft amenities at Topia included in your stay is shampoo, soap, conditioner, etc. so you can leave all those little plastic bottles at home or better yet donate them.

Lighten your load, only pack multi-purpose clothing. And always remember traveling responsibly doesn’t mean giving anything up. It means appreciating the place you are visiting and acting in a way that ensures it is taken care of for the community that lives there and future generations.
